The first 3-4 versions were pretty poor in terms of the layout but I had originally designed it for 5v5 TS and improved after pcw's in the New Zealand/Australia scene. Before I started building Tohunga, I was inspired NulL's terrain on Mandolin and wanted to create a map which wasn't flat concrete everywhere, which in turn is how the vibe of Tohunga was created. The skybox is from Prague, with the lighting and colours adjusted to give the yellow/orange glow throughout the map. Can't believe this map has been out for over 10 years now, how lucky you are that you get to see a new version before the release of UrT Resurgence...! Not really much else to say, there's no story behind Tohunga - the name however is from the Maori language, which is the native culture of New Zealand.
