* Level Description *

This level was the result of a Funmap contest held at the beginning of 2005.
I'm proud to say FSK405U's map idea has been realized, in a whole new way. I spent
a significant amount of time away from my computer trying to figure out how to
accomplish a good, fully underwater UrT map. The result: ut_deep. It's a beautiful
looking undersea map, taking place at about 2000 feet below the surface. The idea
was having a underwater research environment next to a trench, where a new advanced
deep-sea research facility was being constructed. I came up with long air tubes
which sprawl throughout the playable map and leak air to breathe. This was the
hardest part of all... poking air holes into water. Quake3 level design isn't
supposed to work like that. Among the leaking air ducts, there are air tanks scattered
about to get a quick breath as you swim through to your destination, as well as diver
bubble domes. Rocks provide cover so stay low. Air ducts snake through the sand. Each
team spawns in their respective research facility. A boat floats high above piping
down precious air. The entire campus is finished just enough for people to begin work,
deep under the ocean surface.
